What we do | History | Olin firsts | Our culture Our people. Our strength. 1000 empowered employees trained to participate like they are
owners of the company have shaped Olin Chlor Alkali Products into one of the world's leading manufacturers
of chlorine, caustic soda and related chemicals.
The coming months and years will bring countless innovations to the manufacture and delivery of our products. All the while, our people--the very ones responsible for over 50 years of growth--pledge to maintain our focus of delivering customer service and added value unmatched in the industry. Our people. Our strength. Olin Chlor Alkali Products is the world's fifth largest producer of chlorine, caustic soda and related products. A division of the Olin Corporation, Olin Chlor Alkali Products employs some 1000 people at four facilities located in New York, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama. In addition, we operate a Solution Sodium Hydrosulfite plant in Brazil and a joint venture Chlor Alkali plant, Sunbelt, at our existing McIntosh, Alabama site.
Our products make PVC and other plastics possible, for applications ranging from everyday household objects to life-saving medical devices like intravenous tubing and transfusion bags. And, as you may already know, chlorine is used in water purification facilities worldwide.
What do you get when all 1000 of your employees act like they own the company? Something pretty remarkable. At Olin Chlor Alkali Products, we've cultivated a corporate environment that not only makes for a stimulating and rewarding workplace; it also directly enhances our ability to deliver the highest quality products and superior service to our customers. Olin Chlor Alkali Products' variable pay incentive system, coupled with our innovative team-based organizational structure, encourages and rewards teamwork, cooperation, quality control and individual suggestions for improving the way we do things. One way we accomplish this is through communication—a goal so important to us that we provide each
employee with his or her own home computer.
